    K'u' Áayin (Crocodile Nest)

K'u' Áayin, which means "Crocodile Nest" in the Maya language, is a family-run conservation initiative born from a deep conviction to protect and preserve biodiversity in the heart of the Quintana Roo jungle in Mexico. Here, science becomes a tool for conservation, inviting visitors to look beyond the surface. Each expedition is an opportunity to learn about biodiversity in its purest state and to understand the delicate harmony that sustains it. Through wildlife tracking, camera trap installation, and species identification, travellers become guardians and witnesses of wild life. Located deep in the Selva Maya in the southern state of Quintana Roo, K'u' Áayin sits on private, locally-owned land. The reserve is accessible from Bacalar (100 km), Mahahual (130 km), Chetumal Airport (140 km), and the Tulum Airport (180 km). Daily departures are available, all experiences are by prior reservation, and group sizes are capped at 20 people per day to ensure a calm, low-impact visit.
